Route options :

Various options for your route are available at the bottom of the form. You can specify : - Avoid tolls = to view the most economic routes, avoiding tolls where possible,
- Pedestrian.
The number of miles, journey time, fuel and toll costs are displayed at the top of the driving directions on the basis of the criteria you entered in the "Options and expenses" sub-section.

Stopover:

If you wish to pass through any specific locations on the way to your destination, click on the "Add a stopover" link below the "Arrival" field on the form. Select the location you wish to pass through on your journey.

To calculate your return route:

Click on at the top right of the form, or on "Return route" at the top of the driving directions. Note : the journey time calculated excludes breaks and assumes favourable weather conditions.

Calculate a pedestrian route :

Enter your departure and destination points, then tick the "pedestrian" button at the bottom of the route planner form. The maximum limit for a pedestrian route is 20 km.

How can I work out my travel expenses?

Enter your departure and destination addresses in the form and then click on “calculate expenses” in the menu on the left in the route planner section. Specify the type of vehicle you are using: car, motorbike, minibus, truck. Then use the second pull-down list to provide more details about your vehicle. Finally, enter your expense allowance per km/mile, as well as the type and cost of your fuel (1) in the appropriate currency. A summary table appears at the top of the driving directions, showing you the number of miles travelled, the journey time, fuel and toll costs, as well as your mileage allowances. (1) Fuel cost: We display an average fuel price (per litre) for your selected fuel type (petrol or diesel). The price per litre is notified by the Direction des Hydrocarbures du Ministère de l'Industrie (average consumer prices in France, updated each year). You can also enter the exact price (per litre) charged by your usual service station.
